Both authors want to restore the intimate relationship to nature and persons but in dissimilar ways. Nature serves as a solution for the problems that these authors present. While I was a kid my family and I used to go on bike rides all the time to anywhere you could think of. We would go boating everyday in the summer. We would ski, wakeboard, go tubing and many more. Go tubing was one of the funniest memories I have boating because the thrill you get is unbeatable trying to hold on for dear life. Anothering thing we did as a family was go on vacation everywhere.
The road trips were always fun because we would bring our dog turbo. The one trip that will never be forgotten is North Carolina. We go there every year with family friends and it will be a trip on go on with my kids. My sister and I have always been very adventurous and outdoors oriented. Surrounded by a large quantity of land, we had limitless opportunities to play games and have escapades. One of my favorite memories however, was making a secret clubhouse by a stream running along our yard. Although we did have a swingset and tons of toys, that was our prefered place to spend time. One way I have learned to connect with nature is through photography. About a year and a half ago, I discovered my affinity for photography, and I started seeing the way objects interacted and filled the negative space.
There is a certain satisfaction rewarded when I take a picture and every detail just falls in line. Nature is art, a photogenic subject waiting to be studied. Be that as it may, taking pictures outside is somewhat different than working, practicing, and being active outside. The most interesting thing I did over the summer was going to ohio to meet with family. When we go to ohio over the summer we have to stay outside and camp and have to stay outside all day and all night. I always have my own tent on the other side of the house away from the pond so that i can actually sleep. The reason for sleeping away from the pond is that there are frogs that make noise all night and can get really annoying. I love to ride on the Crownline. Our boat looks like a normal, big boat.
It is blue and white but mostly white. There are many types of activities to do on the boat. There are cruising, tubing, skiing, going to a sandbar, going to the cove, and hanging out with your family. My personal favorite is going to sand bars. I love doing that because you can bury yourself under the sand, make fires, go on the lilypad a fun thing to go on that floats on top of the water , swim, and just hang out. When my friends and I were younger, we would often visit Six Flags Great Adventure and go to the beach, since we always needed a parent around. After my friends and I were able to drive, we started doing more exciting things like paintballing and white water rafting. There is no better feeling than having these experience with friends because when I see that they fall in love with something, I know that I positively affected their.
One of my favorite things to do is going tubing on my boat. I like to go tubing, because you can have wars to get each other off. Tubing is even better when you have multiple tubes so you can have all of your friends tubing at once. It is the best when you have 3 tubes and you are the middle tube because you get hit by all of the other tubes. Sometimes when you are the middle tube you flip over because the side tubes hit you hard. Another thing I like to do when I am tubing is doing a degree turn and going over your own wake. It is fun because you hit your wake and you get a lot of air. Once you hit the wake you can get a lot of air on it.
The bad thing about it is When you hit the wake it hurts your neck. Once when I got off the. Playing airsoft is another fun activity I enjoy. I gather up my friends and we make two teams that would play each other. We go all out when we play airsoft. We discuss tactics and find the best place to ambush the other team. We plan these events in advanced so we can try to get as many people as possible. I have a large field that we play in, there are plenty of trees to use as. In winter everything changes in a miraculous way. The sky turns grey; the sun becomes less bright and burning. Days are short and the nature becomes quiet and balanced. The trees have bare branches and the grass is hidden from our sight. In this way nature defends itself from the cold and snowdrifts of the winter, which will come in the stead of the silent autumn.
The leaves that fell down enrich the soil with fertilizers, which helps to save trees, some animals and insects. They will wait till the cold winter is over and will please us next spring. One day in the end of autumn or at the beginning of winter you look out of your window and see a drastic change — everything is white and mysterious. The snow is so white that it makes you hold your breath and admire the beauty. The sight is even more fascinating if it continues snowing and you walk in the cloud of snowflakes and wonder whether you are in Heaven or it is still the earth. Everything is covered in snow and the trees have funny shapes.
Children are running around, making snowmen and playing snowballs. A lot of them enjoy sledging or skiing, which makes them really happy. In a society such as the one we live in, nature has become drown out by aspects more parallel to our lives. Humans no longer value nature as much as we should. Nature has been imprudently shoved to the back of our minds, and false pretenses have been created allowing us to think it is possible to ignore the forces of nature in our lives. Humanity is in great conflict with nature, and consequently, our lives are negatively impacted. To resolve this conflict, humans must realise that nature is always present. The beautiful blossoms that bloom in Californian spring, the summer daisies alongside the cooling lake, long after the summer the trees have lost their leaves entering autumn to fresh white snow out in the mountains. Nature is able to show us its true beauty without any falseness and modifications.
After all, is it not ironic how people go to museums to look at paintings of colorful flowers, green hills, and clear water streams; those are beauties that can easily be observed in real life outside of the urban environment which are surrounded by them, or how people buy recordings of the calming sounds of nature, similar to what you would listen to at night in the woods or smell nature aromas of the candles. What we are doing is trying to mislead our minds and pretend to think that we are in the woods but are instead cornered inside our small, well-furnished, and full -with-technology apartment. Each new experience brought me feelings of excitement and joy, sparkling my imagination and igniting my curiosity.
It all seemed so large back then. Oceans appeared endless as they reached towards the horizon. Treetops seemed to make friends with the puffy-looking clouds as they soared to the sky. Over the years however, as I have grown older and life has become more complex, I am beginning to think less and less about the natural world around me. Forests and oceans seemed less appealing as they became intertwined with the urban development. In a way, I was becoming more and more distanced from the so-called nature. So, with an overwhelming desire for adventure and to escape the masses, my family and I drove to Big Bend National Park in Southwest Texas last summer.
My family has a long history of the love of nature and being outdoors.
