Although my prediction of the time is a little bit off, I can tell that the temperature is rising. I did not know how to react to the different temperature changes. I begin to observe the people around me. The children are swimming, they excitedly play almost like puppies wrestling. As I put away the Lenovo keyboard and mouse, I felt a sudden and urgent sense of exhaustion. In a matter of seconds I fell back onto the couch and entered a trance of sleep. When I woke I realised that I had not really woken up; instead, I was merely lucid in my own dream. As I gazed around my setting I suddenly smelt a sharp fragrance of a barbados lily, it was a very sweet and honey like smell.

I saw an endless amount of roystonea regia, which is a fancy word for those very common palm tree-like trees. They were so beautifully decorated in a green hue that was encompassed in a vibrant shine. I felt the what could only be sand underneath me, it was so hot, yet refreshing. I began to walk through the narrow course of trees until I saw an end to the path. Then I saw it, the ocean. It was like every movie I had ever seen. It was so clear due to the salt, and it glistened like a pasture covered. Strolling down a beaten dirt trail with green mossy trees on either side. A soft breeze brushes a kiss against my cheek, as it pushes past, earth mixing with sea salt hits my nose.

Walking along the winding dirt trail until the texture beneath my toes change. The trees part and on either side the trees rise into the air, becoming cliffs as far as my eyes can see. Instead of dirt beneath my feet it has been replaced by sand in between my toes. I walk towards the white cap waves where the water washes up against my ankles excitedly and then pulls back with remorse. Sea mist leaves a moist kiss against my cheeks and then. I looked back at the ocean one last time before the sun left. It seemed to give off heat waves. I then turned around and started on the short sand trail back to my car with Jeff. As we approached the wooden picket fence, sand found its way into my sandals and between my toes.

It felt like dirt. Look at the footprints across the vast area of the beach, so short in existence. Here one minute and gone the next, washed away with the ever turning tide. These footprints imprinted in the sand tell a story that is mine, the changes in my life thus far. A change that once impacted upon my life was never to be the same again. For just this one moment time would stand still. It was just me and the ocean, nothing more, nothing less, everything else but the rhythmic pounding of my feet upon the sand would lose significance. A sharp buzz rings out from the other side of my eyes, awakening me from the disturbing visions that plague my dreams.

For a brief moment I am convinced that it is all it is, a nightmare, and then the reality. I came up closer to the water and checked how cold it was. Being calm it had so many different hues of blue, reflecting a bright blue sky, near the shore it was pale blue, nearly translucent, as it got deeper it changed from pale blue to deep dark blue. I leaned down to touch the water in the lake. It was cool and so transparent that I could see everything on the bottom. At that moment I felt wonderful smell of roasting meat in the air. This familiar aroma tickled my nostrils and reminded me that I had not eaten since the morning. A ways away from a town that I call home, I found a happy place.

I often find myself walking through the park by myself. The beautiful trees, the way the yellow and red leaves crumple under my feet every step I take. When the flowers bloom and how it's the most spectacular sight you could ever imagine seeing, all the different colors that appear. When you breathe in and you get this smell of purity, you feel free and alive. Sometimes I like to sit on the old wooden bench where the bench frame is a little rusted, and I get rid of my thoughts and my eyes search the sky. In the winter the icy breeze makes me shiver, and the cold air I take in, is like sitting in front of an air conditioner and breathing in.

Some mornings the sun beams across the sky, which is not quite blue yet, but the sun has almost fully risen. When the wind blows, it grazes over the blades of grass. Some days I just stand and take a deep breath in and I can taste the spring. When summer comes around, and the bees are buzzing, and the hot sun beats on the back of my neck, I lay on the soft grass and listen, to the birds chirping a beautiful song, and the kids playing in the park. The sky is the bluest view in sight. Essay Topics Writing. Home Page Research Descriptive Essay On The Beach. Descriptive Essay On The Beach Decent Essays. Open Document. I walked along the beach. As I was walking I could feel the fresh smell of the beach like it was an air freshener but it also smelled that gave me a tingle in my nose.

As I kept walking along the beach I could feel the light breeze coming against me. This fresh air felt warm as I felt like I was sleeping in a comfortable bed. I decide it is time to relax, so I grab my favorite novel and lay out on my beach towel. With the waves crashing and the birds flying in the distance I am in my safe haven. My toes grasp the sand between them and a jolt of warmth travels through my entire body. Order custom essay Descriptive Essay The Beach with free plagiarism report. It is at this moment all of my stresses seem to disappear and I am in a wonderland of warmth and happiness. During my tip to the beach time does not exist. Six hours could go by, but in my mind it seems as if it has been a short 30 minutes.

It is not clear to me the time until I notice the sun slowly setting beyond the horizon and a cool breeze causing goose bumps on my sun kissed arms and legs. My father comes down from the jeep with a sweat shirt for both me and my sister. He hands me a cool glass of lemonade and the water droplets condensate on the outside of the bright red cup. All three of us sit on a blanket and watch the sun as it sets over the ocean. The beautiful colors of pink and orange are breathe taking. A brilliant ball of fire, millions of miles away, but so apparent and bright here on the sandy shore.

The sky contains the most peaceful colors as it fades off on the horizon leaving the sky dark without its presence. At that moment I know what this means. The setting of the sun symbolizes my time here in my safe haven is over and I must depart from my happy place. Gather up my novel, surfboard, ND towel and make my way back to the jeep. My little sister complains and fusses about how she does not want to leave her castle. As her castle is washed away by the incoming tide, so is her innocence. My father carries her on his shoulders as she is passed out snoring. That scene causes me to go back in time just a few years past when was the same age and I can remember myself sleeping upon my father's muscular shoulders. As we drive away I think to myself So long until next year.

And watch my safe haven slowly diminish the further and further we drive away. This essay was written by a fellow student. I run as fast as my feet can carry me toward what my body sees as Utopia, a seemingly endless pool of crystal blue water. I dive into the crashing waves head first. The shock of the frigid water takes my breath away and I am momentarily stunned.

However, I quickly recover; finding my body adjusts rapidly to the cold water. Floating peacefully among the waves, I am unaware of the impending waves that are soon to break over me. A monstrous wave has just overtaken me; its force knocks me to the sandy bottom of the ocean. I am refreshed and awakened as I am carried back to shore. Exhausted, I return to my peaceful spot on the beach. I quickly find myself once again baking under the warmth of the summer sun. Now that I am relaxed, I allow myself to close my eyes and drift off for a peaceful nap. My neighborhood is composed of the towns of Shirley, Mastic and Mastic Beach. Some outsiders consider my town, Shirley, Mastic and Mastic Beach pretty bad. As I was running to the ocean I could see my feet sinking in the sizzling sand with each step I took. I could feel the burning sun beating down on me. As I jumped in the water I felt that sense of cold that made me feel refreshed. I could see everything the water was so clear. I could see all the rainbow fish and the little creatures that live in the sea swarming around. The air was cold and windy. The beach was black, with small glossy pebbles, and shells. The shells on the beach where beautiful, shiny, and large bigger than my head. The water was gray with rocks that were big enough to climb on. The rocks held puddles of water with ocean life living in them.

I walked out onto the still white sand of fort Myers Beach and inhaled the peaceful air. The sand twisted around in between my toes as I was walking towards the calm ocean. I looked back and can see the beautiful palm trees sway in a relaxed, controlled way. The sun shone off the ocean just enough to make the water sparkle. I heard the quiet voices of the tourists that were sprawled out in the sand soaking in the easeful beam of the sun. I laid my towel on the sand and spread myself on it.

My skin absorbed the rays just enough to make me feel warm. It was heavenly to spend time and laze in the sun. It was like the world was full of peace. At that very instant I felt stress free. I sipped my ice cold water and felt the chill of water travel. The beach chairs around me wait slowly to get filled up. The aromatic ocean air drifted to my nose. I noticed that I seemed to be slower than dad and our instructor. Instantly, I started to paddle faster. I looked at the ocean, its majestic beauty that seemed to be hidden until I experienced the ocean for myself. This morning I was walking through the woods.

The leaves and trees brushing up against my long brown hair. The morning breeze blowing through my long luscious hair. There is a dark path ahead so I walk through it. It has beautiful scenery and so many gorgeous animals as you walk into it. Summer is coming to an end and the leaves are starting to change into bright colors, which makes the whole view prettier. Then, all of the sudden I come upon something amazing and shiny, and it catches my eye so I go right over to it.
